TST Defense is a contractor that specializes in ship windows and small repairs. We have an extensive background in transparent armor (ballistic glass) but handle a wide range of window repairs for all types and sizes of ships and boats.
We are seeking a skilled mechanic with leadership and management capabilities. As a small business, our employees take on a multitude of responsibilities but the main requirements of this position are:
-Lead mechanic on ship repair projects
-Supervising and managing small repair jobs
-Specializing in window and glass repairs and associated systems
-Experienced in repairs on LPDs, LHDs, DDGs, etc. as well as smaller patrol boats and commercial vessels
-Assisting the estimator and project manager in gathering information for quotes
-Interfacing with customers and communicating progress and schedules
-Must be capable of climbing stairs & ladders, working in tight spaces, working aloft, and regularly lifitng heavy loads
