Leads the government business development activities for the Ship Repair business area within the Platforms and Services Sector. Develops the long-range business plan and strategy for delivering on and growing $1B worth of US Navy maintenance and modernization contracts covering all classes of surface ships across 4 Navy-focused company shipyards. Works as part of a corporate team, regularly interfacing with BAE Systems, Inc. and Ship Repair corporate staff entities, as well as shipyard General Managers and related personnel. Provides contractual oversight, customer and award fee board shaping, as well as cost and technical proposal development support to influence winning and executing on cost-plus and fixed price contracts. Coordinates with Government Relations personnel to help secure funding for US Navy surface maintenance and modernization. Conducts analysis and prepares and presents reports and presentations on market risks and opportunities. Liaises regularly with senior maintenance and operations customers at NAVSEA, Fleet and Type Commander echelons.
