The Laborer/Helper performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs tasks which require mainly physical abilities and effort. The following tasks are typical of this occupation but not limited to the below:
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Performs local area deliveries of supplies and material
• Stacks materials for storage
• Collects refuse and salvageable materials
• Assists in installation of communications hardware
• Operates forklift, box truck, 5-ton flatbed truck
• Supports check-in/check-out of tools and equipment from tool room
• Completes minor equipment repairs as directed
Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Based on the work location, the position may require certifications such as a Man Aloft Certification, Shipyard Competent Person Certification, CPR Certification, and the ability to obtain an interim SECRET clearance. Active SECRET clearance preferred.
