The November General Membership Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Portsmouth Renaissance Hotel. CAPT David Bauer, Commanding Officer, SURFMEPP will be the guest speaker.

When you think of security, you most likely think of police officers, guards, and the pass offices around Hampton Roads.  Security is not only important at our job sites, but also a very important role in our personal lives as well.  Everyone plays a role in security, in one form or another.

It was a cool brisk morning on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 with the wind coming off the Chesapeake Bay as volunteers arrived to set up for the 31st Annual VSRF Golf Tournament at Bayville Golf Club.  As the morning progressed and with players starting to arrive, it could not have been a more perfect day for golf.  Isn’t it well known that any day is a great day for golf?

Recent laws and regulations, particularly the executive orders requiring a higher minimum wage and paid sick leave for government contractor employees, have added to the confusion for those holding ship construction and repair contracts – do they or don’t they apply?

The 12th Annual Ship Repair Virtual LEGO Competition has officially launched! The purpose of the competition is to promote the ship repair industry while increasing competitive mathematical, analytical and conceptual skills in middle school aged students.

We need volunteers to serve as technical advisors, judges and sponsors. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and represent your company!
