FSG Matl Dist Handling Support 3 HII FLEET SUPPORT GROUP (0480) Chesapeake-Virginia-United States 28382BR External Job Description This position will be providing assistance to the Field LPA and Driver functions of the warehouse. Responsible for the Government Furnished Material that comes to the warehouse before going out to the task for installation on a ship or submarine. The selected candidate will receive, storage, issue and shipping of HII Fleet Support Group LLC and Government Furnished Material. As well as maintaining the official documentation and recordkeeping of issue files for HII-FSG LLC, customer and government property. Selected candidate will also assist warehouse supervisor in any warehouse requirements assigned including housekeeping. Position Specifics: Candidate must have the following to qualify for this position. • Must have experience with Government Furnished Material and Customer Acquired Material. • Must have strong computer skills to include data entry, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook experience • Must have experience with receipt, storage, issue and shipping of materials and supplies. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Confidential Security Clearance and Base Credentials. Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials; prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading; routes materials to destinations. May lay out, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment. Ability to lift forty pounds, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes and work in high heat/cold environments, aboard ships, under industrial conditions, in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather. Ability to operate portable power tools. Work may involve climbing and working on ladders.
