Information Security Analyst/Information Systems Security Engineer

Overview The GBS Group, an engineering services and consulting firm, is seeking an Information Security Analyst/Information Systems Security Engineer to join our Philadelphia Engineering Office. The GBS Group designs and delivers high technology services and solutions to most advanced naval and maritime ships, as well as to special purpose platforms and assets. Our office is located at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, which is a dynamic urban development, offering the Philadelphia region a unique and centrally-located waterfront business campus committed to smart energy innovation and sustainability. The Navy Yard has over 20 acres of parks, one mile of waterfront trail and is located less than one-half mile from the Wells Fargo Center, Lincoln Financial Field, Citizens Bank Park, as well as the retail/entertainment center Xfinity Live! Responsibilities include but are not limited to Identifies, installs, tests and verifies OS-level and software-level patches and/or STIGs in accordance with IA and Cybersecurity standards. Administer and manage Information Assurance and Cybersecurity for multiple systems. Develop and manage IA and Cybersecurity processes in accordance with DOD standards. Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures. (DIACAP and RMF). Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment. Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned. Qualifications Candidates must possess the following professional experience and qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications and/or training and work experience. 5 years of directly related experience in network administration and support of Microsoft and/or Linux-based systems. Must have CompTIA Security+ or be able to obtain this certification within 90 days of employment. Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning software Must have an Active Secret Security clearance. Desired Characteristics: Prefer active secret security clearance. One of the following certifications: MCITPA:SA, RHCE, RHCSA, MCITP:EA, VMWare's VCP, IAT3, or Microsoft Certified Professional. Demonstrated ability to administer a network and support multiple networked computers and printers. Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies.
