Office Manager

Anchor Sandblasting and Coatings, LLC is seeking to hire an Office Manager for our Norfolk office. The office manager position starts at $50,000 a year, depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OFFICE MANAGER As the Office Manager, you serve as the first point of contact for colleagues, vendors, and customers. You provide administrative support to the executive staff, department managers, and other employees. In our fast-paced, continuously changing environment, you will use independent judgement and multi-tasking skills to ensure that business needs are met. You are highly organized, give great attention to details, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Other essential functions include: • Answer phones, forward messages, and distribute mail. • Manage access list submissions and updates. • Coordinate DBIDS activities. • Attend VSRA sponsored committee meetings. • Update training/certification log. • File maintenance • HR functions to include employment status updates and other personnel changes. • Oversee subordinate administrative staff. • Coordinate logistics for freight needs. • Investigate and resolve payroll correction requests. • Request vendor quotes, generate purchase orders – as approved by management. • Basic accounting functions. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN OFFICE MANAGER • HS Diploma or GED • Accurate data entry skills • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) • Familiarity with principles of accounting • Three years of Administrative/Office experience • Previous marine or industrial experience required. • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus READY TO JOIN OUR SHIPYARD TEAM?
