Executive Vice President, Virginia Maritime Association
Mr. Moye currently holds the position of Executive Vice President of the Virginia Maritime Association, which has been promoting Port development since 1920. The Association serves as the “Voice of the Port” with its almost 500 members.
Mr. Moye also serves as the Executive Vice President of the Hampton Roads Shipping Association, whose purpose is to negotiate and maintain the collective bargaining agreement with the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA).
Prior to his current position, he has served as an Officer and Director for both organizations during his 30 years in the maritime industry employed with one of the Port’s stevedoring companies.
Locally representing thePortofHampton Roads, Mr. Moye is a member of the Propeller Club, Port of Norfolk, Hampton Roads Foreign Commerce Club, Hampton Roads Traffic Club and the Virginia Port Authority Port Advisory Board. Regionally he serves as a Director for the Norfolk Sister Cities Association, a Commissioner for the Virginia Offshore Wind Development Authority, and was appointed to the Freight Transportation Advisory Committee (a sub-committee of the Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization) and the City of Norfolk’s Military Economic Development Advisory Committee. He also received the Commerce Builder Award in 2010.
Mr. Moye grew up inNorfolkwhere he graduated fromOldDominionUniversitywith a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is married to his high school sweetheart and they have two grown daughters and two beautiful granddaughters.
