Director of the A4W/A2W (RPPY), (PPEA) & (SNVY), Newport News Shipbuilding

Bill began his shipbuilding career in 1984 as an Apprentice at Newport News Shipbuilding.  After completing his apprenticeship, he went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University in 1993.

Bill has held a number of positions with increasing responsibility including Piping Supervisor of Nimitz Class Carriers and Engineering Manager of FORD Class Carriers.

In March of 2012, Bill was promoted to Director of Aircraft Carrier Engineering where he was responsible for the Design and Engineering of all non-nuclear systems on Nimitz Class Carriers.

In November of 2014, Bill took over as Director of the A4W/A2W Reactor Plant Planning Yard (RPPY), Propulsion Plant Engineering Activity (PPEA) and Standard Navy Valve Yard (SNVY).  In this role, he is responsible for the contracts and all work performed by the A2W and A4W RPPY, PPEA and SNVY.
