National Maritime Day

This day reflects the gratitude that Americans have for the Maritime Industry and it’s many benefits to this Country. It also recognizes ships and seafarers who have held a special place in our Nation’s history.

This year, we are excited to announce that the Virginia Ship Repair Association is partnering with the Propeller Club, Port of Norfolk to celebrate National Maritime Day on Monday, May 22, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Decker Half Moone Center at Nauticus, 1 Waterside Drive, Norfolk, VA 23510.

The ceremony will feature the laying of a memorial wreath, a water salute, and recognition of our VSRF Junior and Senior Tradesperson of the Year winners with presentations of their awards.  This fabulous event will be backdropped with a five star reception with live music, heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar. Military Sealift Command is also partnering and will have one of their MSC vessels onsite that will be open to attendees for tours prior to the start of the ceremony.
