New Standard Item 009-123 Fiber Optics Requirements Meeting

VSRA is hosting a technical meeting with Mr. Michael S. Brown, Fiber Optics Engineer/Aircraft Carrier FOCP ISEA Lead Engineer Fiber Optics Section. Mr. Brown will brief VSRA Members on the New Standard Item Fiber Optic STD ITEM 009-123 and specifically the "new" fiber optic training requirements.

NAVSEA Cableway (Feb 8-12) CANCELED

This course is under the oversight of AMSEC and upon successful completion attendees will receive a NAVSEA Cableway Certification card. The cableway program provides NAVSEA Cableway training and certification to students.

Quality Assurance Committee Meeting

The QMB / Quality Assurance Committee  combined meeting will be held on the second Tuesday of every ODD month starting at 9:00 a.m., at the VSRA Offices, 101 W. Main Street, Suite 5500 (5th Floor East), Norfolk, VA  23510.  We are located in the World Trade Center building.

OSHA Partnership Luncheon (Feb 10)

VSRA MAINTAINS the only Maritime Partnership with OSHA in the Nation! That being said, we want to continue to maintain the partnership because of the value it brings to our partnership member companies.

VSRA General Membership Luncheon Meeting

VSRA Board of Directors meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the odd numbered months. The General Membership Luncheon meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month. The Chairman of the VSRA Board and the VSRA committee chairs report to the general membership at the monthly meeting, followed by a guest speaker's presentation. Each member company may have its designated representatives present at the general membership monthly luncheon meeting and is welcome to invite company guests.

Emergency First Response (Feb 17)

Emergency First Response training is OSHA approved and internationally accepted.  This course meets the OSHA Guidelines CFR 1910.151 compliance standards for workplace safety.

Emergency First Response REFRESHER (Feb 18) CANCELED

This is a 1/2 a day refresher course from 7:30am to 11:30am. The EFR Refresher course meets OSHA Guidelines 29CFR 1910.151 compliance standards for workplace safety.
