Applicants must be able to connect, install, and remove wiring, fixtures, and equipment for all electrical services aboard ships utilizing blueprints, wiring diagrams, and test equipment. Must be able to install cables in the overhead and underneath false decks according to work specifications. Must be able to understand electrical terms, definitions, abbreviations, and ship's layout. Must be familiar with standard work practices and the safety rules and regulations that apply to the work at hand. Must be able to hookup lighting, receptacles, power and fuse panels, small connection boxes. Determine cable routing and overcrowded transits prior to installation. Determine the kind and quantity of materials required to accomplish the work without undue waste. Perform other related duties as assigned by Management
