A Project Cost Estimator is needed in our local industrial facility. The candidate will have experience in planning and estimating for the accomplishment of manufacturing projects for Defense Department prime contractors and other Government agencies. Candidate must be a self-starter and have the ability to work in a dynamic working environment. The position requires significant knowledge and experience with reviewing work specifications, engineering drawings, DFARS clauses and NAVSEA Standard items to provide both labor and material estimates. Safety and quality requirements must be included in the estimates therefore the candidate shall have a working knowledge of quality and safety requirements as they apply to Federal Government manufacturing work.
Job Requirements/skill sets: The ideal candidate should have at least five (5) years of experience in the manufacturing industry estimating costs for fabrication and machining using specifications The candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with substantial experience working with Microsoft Excel.
Education Requirements: High School diploma
Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and/or be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
