OSHA 5400 (Jan 31-Feb 3, 2012)
This course is designed for personnel in the private sector interested in teaching the 10 and 30 hour maritime safety and health outreach program to their employees and other interested groups. Special emphasis is placed on those topics that are required in the 10 and 30 hr programs as well as on those that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Course participants are briefed on effective instructional approaches and the effective use of visual aids and handouts. This course allows the student to become a trainer in the Outreach Program and to conduct 10 and 30 hour maritime classes in Shipyard Employment, Marine Terminals, and Long shoring and to issue cards to participants after verifying course completion.2.6 CEU’s.

Cancellations must be made within 4 business days of the course to recieve full credit contingent on slots being filled. Late cancellations will be given a 50% credit towards a future training or 100% if open slots is filled.

NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector Course (Feb 27-Mar 2, 2012)
The course consists of 4 days of classroom and practical "Hands-on" training. Day 5 consists of practical examinations. A 80% or higher score is required to be eligible for the certification. A particular focus on Standard Items and T&I Processes and Plans is incorporated to ensure students are prepared for Naval vessel coatings and inspection work.
Passing students receive a 4 year certification and a laminated wallet card from SSPC. Test results will come directly from SSPC.

Emergency First Response (March 7, 2012)
Emergency First Response training is OSHA approved and internationally accepted. This course meets the OSHA Guidelines CFR 1910.151 compliance standards for workplace safety.

Emergency First Response REFRESHER (March 8, 2012)
This is a 1/2 a day refresher course from 7:30am to 11:30am. The EFR Refresher course meets OSHA Guidelines 29CFR 1910.151 compliance standards for workplace safety.

Senior Leadership & Safety
Safety is best managed by self-directed teams that take full ownership over safe practices. This course uses the 16 hr. National Supervisors Safety Leadership Curriculum to review core safety regulations in conjunction with proven safety leadership techniques.
