VSRA"Hiring VETS" Survey Begins Series on Best Practices

If you asked a member of the VSRA about the state of our workforce, they’d likely respond similarly to what one of our most trusted ship repair leaders, Joe Yurso, says, “We’ve got an aging workforce, and we’d better become more attractive to the younger generation.” With over 15,000 Veterans transitioning from the local Hampton Roads bases each year, the solution seems right in front of us.

VSRA Releases 2020 Strategic Plan

The VSRA Board of Directors approved a long-term strategic plan in November of 2013. A key component of the strategic planning process was including all of our member companies.

Our speaker for the January General Membership Meeting was Bill Crow who gave the first ever VSRA Annual Report. The overarching theme of his presentation was the continued focus on our strengths as ship repairers and the committment VSRA has to serving the industry.
