February Speaker: Rear Admiral John P. Polowczyk

Rear Admiral John P. Polowczyk is the February VSRA luncheon speaker. He is director, Fleet Ordnance and Supply and Fleet Supply Officer on the staff of Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, VA.

Polowczyk, a native of Manhasset, N.Y., graduated in 1987 from the United States Naval Academy, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He also has a master’s degree in contract and acquisition management from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a master of science degree in national resource strategy from National Defense University Industrial College of the Armed Forces.

His experience includes Supply department head tours, and Command Comptroller for U.S. Fleet Forces and Atlantic Fleet. Shore tours include: Commanding Officer of NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Pearl Harbor, Military Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Business Financial Manager in SEAWOLF Program Office, and financial officer for Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet. 

Polowczyk’s personal awards include Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, four Meritorious Service Medals, four Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and four Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
