NEW Pre-Hire Program: Member Advantage

The Virginia Ship Repair Association, in a partnership with our Member Companies, local Workforce Development Centers, and Virginia’s Community Colleges, has developed an exciting new Pre-Hire Training program. This program is designed to help our future workforce get a head start on skilled trade careers in the Ship Repair industry, while filling entry-level vacancies in high-demand fields with a future.

September FMMS/VSRA Joint Luncheon

On September 9th, the VSRA General Membership meeting was held as part of a joint luncheon with the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) Fleet Maintenance and Modernization Symposium (FMMS) at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. The event saw widespread participation from VSRA Member companies.

On September 11, 2014, following the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) Fleet Maintenance and Modernization Symposium, the first Industry Navy Discussion Panel (INDP) which is the replacement for the Joint Industry/Navy Improvements Initiative (JINII), was convened.  Key points of discussion center on the topics of Fire Prevention and Scheduling Adherence/Integration
