Congressman J. Randy Forbes to Speak at October General Membership Meeting

The monthly general membership meeting will be held on October 21, 2014. The guest speaker will be Congressman J. Randy Forbes, of Virginia's Fourth Congressional District.

Congressman Forbes has served on the House Armed Services Committee for the past 13 years and is currently Chairman of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee.  As Chairman, he is responsible for the research, development, acquisition, and sustainment of Navy and Marine Corps programs, as well as the Air Force's bomber and tanker fleets.  Prior to the 113^th Congress, he served as Chairman and Ranking Member of the Readiness Subcommittee from 2009-2012. Hailing from Chesapeake, Virginia, Chairman Forbes is one our nation's most forceful advocates for a strong national defense.
