9/05 – 7/08        Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, MHI Ship Repair & Services, Inc. Responsible for the daily operations and management of the company which includes oversight of the DDG MSMO Program team, active management of QA Department and the preparation of bids and proposals.  Responsibilities also include working directly with the Finance and Human Resource Departments to establish guidelines and processes to move the company forward.

 

7/02 – 7/05        President & General Manager, NORSHIPCO (currently BAE Systems Norfolk).  Responsibilities included daily management of South Hampton Roads largest private shipyard with over 950 employees.  Active manager in QA, and subcontractor evaluation.  Instituted Lean Six Sigma program in 2004.  Assembled LHA/LHD multi-company team for LHA/LHD, DDG and LSD MSMO programs.

 

10/98 – 7/02      Senior Vice President of Operations, NORSHIPCO (currently BAE Systems Norfolk).  Responsibilities included restructuring of Program Management, Production and Quality Assurance organizations to meet changing business challenges.  Personal involvement in all aspects of Navy availability execution.  Management of production and subcontractor forces.

 

11/96 – 9/98      Director of Navy Fixed Price Business Programs, SOUTHWEST MARINE (currently BAE Systems San Diego).  Responsibilities included oversight and management of all Navy Fixed Price Programs. Successfully executed simultaneous ROH’s on USS CHANCELORSVILLE and USS KITTY HAWK along with multiple SRAs and DSRAs on the DD-963 and FFG classes of vessels.

 

10/89 – 10/96    Program Manager LSD/LPD Phase Maintenance contracts, SOUTHWEST MARINE (currently BAE Systems San Diego).  Responsibilities included the execution of advance planning and production functions of all CONUS LSD-41 class and LPD-4 class of vessels and execution of all west coast PSAs on the LSD-41 class.  Developed cost reporting formats, production scheduling and progress systems.

 

9/86 – 9/89        Ship Superintendent, SOUTHWEST MARINE (currently BAE Systems San Diego).  Responsibilities included the daily production activities involved with successful executions of ROHs, DSRAs and SRAs of various vessels.

 

6/85 – 8/86        Senior Test Engineer, Omaha Public Power District, Fort Calhoun Nuclear Generating Station.

 

6/81 – 5/85       Commissioned Officer,United   StatesNavy.

 

Personal:          Married with two children.  Activities include golf and boating.
