CLAIMS PREPARATION - IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE
Taught by Dan Weckstein, Esq., VANDEVENTER BLACK LLP
This seminar will provide a "how to" session on analyzing potential claims and preparing a claim for submittal to a government agency under current regulations and requirements. Rather than a boring lecture, we will conduct a workshop where a hypothetical government repair contract will be discussed and analyzed and a typical claim will be "roughed out" for submittal with audience input and participation. In keeping with our title and theme, and to avoid any association to or criticism of current government contracts or personnel, we will analyze a ship repair availability gone bad for the USS ENTERPRISE (NCC-1701) which is the Star Trek starship -- not the Naval vessel. Our seminar will show that when it comes to government claims, the more things change, the more the techniques and estimating themes stay the same. A good time and some serious learning is promised to all. Put your phasers on stun and prepare to join the VSRA in this educational adventure as we boldly go where no seminar has gone before.
