Contracts Committee

Emergency First Response (EFR) INITIAL - Jan 26

Prepare employees for emergencies with

Emergency First Response (EFR)® 1 day course
or EFR® Refresher1/2 day course.
 
This 1 (one) day EFR® Initial Certification Course:
·         Provides comprehensive instruction in
1.       Primary Care (CPR-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
2.       Secondary Care (First Aid),
3.       Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, emergency oxygen administration and conscious choking management skills
4.       Bloodborne Pathogen Awareness
·         Certification is good for 24 months/2 years unlike 12 month/1 year renewal required by CPR or First Aid courses offered by competitors and internationally accepted
·         Allows participant eligibility to take the EFR® Refresher ½ day course within six months after 24 month renewal date
·         Is compliant with US Federal OSHA guidelines:   
1.       29 CFR 1910.151 for Medical services and first aid
2.       29 CFR 1910.1030 / 1915.1030 for Bloodborne Pathogens

Emergency First Response (EFR) REFRESHER Jan 27, 2011

Prepare employees for emergencies with
Emergency First Response (EFR)
 Refresher1/2 day course.
 
This ½ (one half) day EFR® Refresher Certification Course :
·         Provides refresher instruction as listed in aforementioned EFR® Initial Certification Course
·         Allows initial EFR® course participant eligibility to take the refresher course within six months of 2 year/24 month renewal date
·         Refresher Certification is internationally accepted
·          Is compliant with US Federal OSHA guidelines as aforementioned INITIAL course.    
·         Upon completion, each participant will receive one (1):
-VSRA Certificate reflecting REFRESHER course:
a.       Completion of Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) AED Use, Emergency Oxygen Administration and Conscious Choking Management Skills,  
-Is compliant with US Federal OSHA guidelines aforementioned in INITIAL EFR Course above.
-Emergency First Response®   Certification hard plastic card unlike the paper cards provided by competitors (VSRA will provide a copy of card to company)
