Security Committee Meeting

The VSRA Security Committee meeting has been CANCELLED for Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. The next regularly scheduled committee meeting will be on Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

Human Resources Committee Meeting

The next Human Resources Committee meeting is CANCELLED for Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 11:00am.  The next regularly scheduled meeting will be on Wednesday, July 2, 2014.

Contracts Committee Meeting

The Contracts Committee will meet the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m., at the VSRA Offices, 101 W. Main Street, Suite 5500 (5th Floor East), Norfolk, VA  23510.  We are located in the World Trade Center building.

Parking is available in the Town Point Parking Garage on Main Street directly across the street from the World Trade Center building.  Please bring your parking ticket with you for validation.

VSRA Langley Speedway NASCAR Race Night

Quality Assurance Committee Meeting

The QMB / Quality Assurance Committee combined meeting will be held on the second Tuesday of every ODD month starting at 9:00 a.m., at the VSRA Offices, 101 W. Main Street, Suite 5500 (5th Floor East), Norfolk, VA  23510.  We are located in the World Trade Center building. The QA Committee session will begin immediately following the QMB session.

OSHA 10 Hour Maritime Course #7615 (Jun 12-13)

The OSHA-10 hour course awards the 10-hour certification card and meets all of the mandated regulations for  Maritime Industry (OSHA Code of Federal Regulations 29 CFR 1915) course 7615 in a format that specifically addresses the challenges and enviromental conditions specific to the shipyards. In addition, ship yard specific regulations and issues are covered in depth. Instructos are authorized by OSHA endorsed certification programs. The completion card is valid for 5 years at which time the course must be repeated. Our instructors an OSHA accepted certified to conduct this class and grany the award of certification cards. Cards are issued through the Instructor's certifying body. All book, material and certification costs are covered in the course fee.

Safety and Environmental Committee Meeting

The Safety & Environmental Committee meetings are on the 2nd Thursday of every ODD month at 9:00 a.m. at the VSRA Office, 101 W. Main Street, Suite 5500 (5th Floor East), Norfolk, VA  23510.  We are located in the World Trade Center building.

Coatings and Electrical Pre-Hire VSRA Info Session

An information session hosted by Bill Crow, President of VSRA to launch the Ship Repair Pre-Hire Training partnership. Members who are building their future workforce are encouraged to attend.

VSRA General Membership Luncheon Meeting

VSRA Board of Directors meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, followed by a lunch meeting with the general membership. The Chairman of the VSRA Board and the VSRA committee chairs report to the general membership at the monthly meeting, followed by a guest speaker's presentation. Each member company may have its designated representatives present at the general membership monthly luncheon meeting and is welcome to invite company guests.

Communications Committee Meeting

The next Communications Committee meeting is at Williams Mullen, 222 Central Park Avenue, Suite 1700, Virginia Beach, VA  23462-3035.

NAVSEA Cableway (Rescheduled) (Jun 23-27)

This course is under the oversight of AMSEC and upon successful completion attendees will receive a NAVSEA Cableway Certification card. The cableway program provides NAVSEA Cableway training and certification to students.
