The Contracts Committee Meeting for April 2, 2020 is CANCELLED

POSTPONED: OSHA 10 Hour Maritime Industry Course (April 6-7)

The OSHA-10 hour course awards the 10-hour certification card and meets all of the mandated regulations for the Maritime Industry (OSHA Code of Federal Regulations 29 CFR 1915) course in a format that specifically addresses the challenges and environmental conditions specific to the shipyards. In addition, ship yard specific regulations and issues are covered in depth. Instructors are authorized by OSHA endorsed certification programs. Cards are issued through the Instructor's certifying body. All book, material and certification costs are covered in the course fee.

VSRA is one of the few organizations authorized to instruct this very specialized course.

Shipboard Cableway Inspection (April 14-16)

This course is under the oversight of HII Technical Solutions and upon successful completion attendees will receive a NAVSEA Cableway Certification card. The cableway program provides NAVSEA Cableway training and certification to students.

Mr. Danjczek will present on the DoD requirements for Virtual Private Networks [VPN]. VPNs offer an excellent method for protecting company and government data for remote workers. The recent COVID pandemic has become a forcing function for companies to leverage VPNs or to consider a new investment in VPN solutions. Mr. Danjczek will explain what VPN technology is, why it is required by DoD and some key considerations for acquiring and deploying VPN technology.
