Cableway Improvement Program (CIP) Installation, Repair and Inspection (September 12-16) CANCELLED

This course is under the oversight of HII Technical Solutions and upon successful completion attendees will receive a NAVSEA Cableway Certification card. The cableway program provides NAVSEA Cableway training and certification to students.

ASNE's Fleet Maintenance & Modernization Symposium (FMMS) 2022

The Fleet Maintenance & Modernization Symposium (FMMS) 2022 is specifically designed to provide useful information and valuable networking opportunities for those who are involved in maintenance, refit, repair, conversion, modernization, service, and support of naval ships and craft. This forum seeks to engage everyone who has a stake in building, repairing, sailing, innovating, updating, training, fighting, and winning on or from the sea on a US or allied military vessel. We are stronger when people with different backgrounds, education, jobs, trades, and experience discuss issues and solutions facing the fleet.

OSHA 10 Hour Maritime Industry Course (September 20-21)

The OSHA-10 hour course awards the 10-hour certification card and meets all of the mandated regulations for the Maritime Industry (OSHA Code of Federal Regulations 29 CFR 1915) course in a format that specifically addresses the challenges and environmental conditions specific to the shipyards. In addition, ship yard specific regulations and issues are covered in depth. Instructors are authorized by OSHA endorsed certification programs. Cards are issued through the Instructor's certifying body. All book, material and certification costs are covered in the course fee.

Introduction to Blueprint Reading & Technical Drawing (September 26-30)

This course is designed for rising welders, pipefitters, ship-fitters, electricians and workers who need a working knowledge of blueprint technology, symbols and design features specific to ships.

26th Annual Safety & Health Seminar

VSRA hosts one of the country's most highly regarded maritime-related Safety & Health seminars each year for the benefit of its members and employees. This event is sponsored by the Safety Committee. This is a dynamic day of presentations, activities and networking for employees who ensure their personal safety and those around them.

Emergency First Response Certification (September 30)

Emergency First Response training is OSHA approved and internationally accepted.  This course meets the OSHA Guidelines CFR 1910.151 compliance standards for workplace safety.
