Shipboard Cableway Inspection (February 15-17) CANCELLED

Wednesday, February 15, 2023 - Friday, February 17, 2023, 7:30 AM - 7:30 AM

This course is under the oversight of HII Technical Solutions and upon successful completion attendees will receive a NAVSEA Cableway Certification card. The cableway program provides NAVSEA Cableway training and certification to students.

VSRA MTT - HR STRONG Information Session

The Virginia Ship Repair Association has partnered with the Hampton Roads Workforce Council and Community College Workforce Cooperative on an exciting new initiative known as HR STRONG. The program utilizes state funding streams to start participants on a skilled trades career pathway in WELDING or STRUCTURAL FITTING via Marine Trade Training (MTT) Levels 1 – 3. We will be hosting a lunch and learn informational session on HR STRONG and how it can benefit VSRA Member Companies.

OSHA 10 Hour Maritime Industry Course (February 20-21)

Monday, February 20, 2023 - Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM

The OSHA-10 hour course awards the 10-hour certification card and meets all of the mandated regulations for the Maritime Industry (OSHA Code of Federal Regulations 29 CFR 1915) course in a format that specifically addresses the challenges and environmental conditions specific to the shipyards. In addition, ship yard specific regulations and issues are covered in depth. Instructors are authorized by OSHA endorsed certification programs. Cards are issued through the Instructor's certifying body. All book, material and certification costs are covered in the course fee.
