CAD Designer

Tidewater Staffing is seeking experienced CAD Designer/Technician! Payrate: TBD Weekly Pay Shift to be discussed Job duties include but not limited to: Prepare rough sketches and 2D electrical and mechanical drawings for manufacturing use by studying engineering specifications; creating a picture of the system, component and all applicable parts Prepare 3D mechanical drawings for manufacturing use by studying engineering specs; creating a picture of the system, component and all applicable parts Prepare final drawings by studying engineering sketches, specs, and supporting documentation; developing a layout of the system, components and parts; drawing multiple views of the system; depicting relationship of components and parts; identifying dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances and materials Identifies and verifies specifications by examining engineering documents; performing calculations Modifies drawings by studying changes; redrawing system, components, and parts; changing identifications using in-house documented procedures and common mechanical and electrical drafting standards Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information; conferring with engineers Maintains data base by entering data; completing backups Prepare system technical manuals using engineering and supporting documentation Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Be able to travel to field locations, if necessary, to assist engineers with any drafting needs Requirements include: Associates Degree (AA or AS) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school is desired Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, or three to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Must have experience in project analysis and be a team player who is deadline oriented, self-motivated, and innovative Experienced in drafting and CAD design using AutoCAD or Solid Works with the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, point-to- point drawings,and engineering fabrication drawings Physical Requirements: Carrying, climbing, crawling, crouching, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, sitting, standing, stooping, talking and walking Tidewater Staffing Offers: Weekly Pay Full-Time Employment Multiple Shifts Insurance Benefits Long-term Job Opportunities OSHA Training | Training Programs Direct Deposit Tidewater Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer*
