George G. Sharp, Inc Position Description Laborer The Laborer, under direct supervision, performs general labor task such as carrying material at work site in a manner that precludes damage to material or government-owned property, assisting trades in a non-technical manner, accomplish chipping and grinding, accomplish paint touch up and minor insulation patching, performs fire watch duties (when contractor certified); maintain work site cleanliness by sweeping, collect refuse and removing it as directed to proper disposal sites. The Laborer shall have: a) Six (6) months general or specialized experience is required; contractor will be responsible for providing adequate training and supervision to ensure an acceptable level of productivity. b) Perform a variety of duties of a physical nature relating to naval shipboard habitability repair, modification and alteration projects. c) Be able to lift and move 50 pounds and be physically agile to perform tasks in naval ships. Desired Certifications/Qualifications: Fire Watch Respirator Insulation (IAW NSTM-CH635/NSI 009-11) 10 Hour OSHA Training
