Jr. Commercial Estimator

Jr. Commercial Estimator International Flooring and Protective Coatings (IFPC) is looking for an experienced Estimator to evaluate and develop bids and proposals. Prior commercial construction estimating experience is preferred but not required. Duties would include material takeoffs, review of all specifications and addenda’s, subcontractor & vendor pricing and over site, pre-bid meetings. Strong knowledge of computer, Microsoft Excel and mathematics are essential. Must be able to learn how to read blueprints. Responsibilities include: Review project specifications, technical drawings Creating detailed lists of work tasks Create estimates for labor, material, and subcontractor costs Work with Project Manager to develop project strategy Research and compare vendor vs in house cost/quality Preferred skills: Commercial construction experience preferred but not required: resilient, carpet, ceramic & coatings Excellent math and financial analysis ability Excellent knowledge of MS Excel Strong analytical ability and strong research capabilities Ability to work independently within a team setting Must be a detail oriented person Must work with a sense of urgency Compensation is based on experience and skill level.
