Expert in Maritime Electrical work. Installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of marine electrical (AC/DC) and electronic systems for ships.
DBIDS and NAVSEA Preferred
Pay rate is DOE
4-5 years in the maritime REQUIRED.
Should know how to locate reference lines.
Construct and fabricate elements, using hand tools and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and templates.
Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment ( i.e. motors).
Pull insulated wires or cables through the passage to finish circuits between boxes.
Confirm correspondence to assembling and safety codes.
Inspect systems, equipment to spot hazards, defects, or adjust/repair, and confirm compliance with codes.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to put in, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
Must be able to use hand tools and shop machines like power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, like oscilloscopes and ammeters.

- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the testing and repair of electrical components
- Reliability and dependability
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
