Coordinators are responsible for but not limited to:
Greet and assist visitors when they arrive at the office
Source and recruit candidates by using databases, resumes, word of mouth and employee referrals
Place associates on available jobs
Screen candidates resumes and job applications
Conduct on the spot interviews
Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, experience
Onboard new employees
Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
Act as a point of contact and build candidate relationships
Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”
Provide shortlists of qualified candidates based on established criteria
Communicate with clients or employers about project, expectations, goals and staffing
Managing deadlines and progress across the team to ensure the project is delivered on time
Following office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
Maintaining files and records with effective filing systems
Conduct general orientation classes and job specific orientation classes
Complete, scan and file appropriate documents in to ATS system
Coordinators requirements:
HS diploma
Reliable transportation and able to travel at last moment’s notice
Available and on-time for shift.
Must be able to handle a high-volume and fast paced environment.
Problem-solver, able to multitask and strong customer service skills.
Preferred requirements:
Proven experience as office coordinator or in a similar role
Experience in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Outstanding knowledge of MS Office, “back-office”
Willing to go on-site to a workspace (shipyard or warehouse)
Working knowledge of office equipment (e.g. optical scanner)
Bilingual is a plus
Military/ Shipyard or logistics experience
35 wpm or better
