Senior Logistics Engineer (Provisioning)

Senior Logistics Engineer (Provisioning) Purpose: Serve as Product Support Lead Logistician for new ship acquisition program. Job Description: Provide team supervision and logistic support services. Apply knowledge of logistics best practices and procedures for both government and commercial policies. Work with shipyard team to ensure logistic considerations are incorporated into the vessels design. Support IPTs representing the product support interests and leads the functional logistics elements teams to complete deliverables on time and on budget. Report to the Program Manager and is responsible for the oversight of all product support activities and ensures that each ship logistics requirement are delivered and in compliance. Ability to operate within a short lead time and changing requirements. Qualifications: Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Must have at least 10 years’ of experience working Integrated Product Support US Navy new ship acquisition and sustainment programs required. Must maintain an intimate working knowledge of web-based product support software to include but not limited to ICAPS, CDMD-OA, OARS, PMSMIS, TDMIS, and NDE. Must have proven leadership and managerial skills. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have mastery of Microsoft Word and Excel, and familiarity with Military Documentation Standards.(MILSTDS) also required. Desired Qualification: Have an extensive background in Provisioning, Configuration Management, RCM Level II development, ship logistics, design interface support, and training are highly desired. Previous U. S. Navy HM&E experience is plus. RCM Level II certification is plus. Security Requirements: Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain it. Travel Requirements: Some travel may be required. If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.
