CNC Machinist-2nd shift

Nationwide Skilled Trades is hiring CNC Machinists (2nd shift) for an established shipyard client in Portsmouth, VA! Shift is Monday - Thursday 3:30pm-1:30am. Qualifications: 4+ years of CNC Machinist experience 3-5 years of Shipyard experience Ability to pass a skilled trade assessment, pre-employment background check, and drug screen. Pay is dependent on experience. Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and shop sketches Use all conventional machine shop equipment and machinery to cut, machine and shape raw materials in accordance with drawing requirements Build fixtures and various holding devices as needed to hold or support work pieces in process Set-up, load and operate various machine tools including, but not limited to cutoff saws, lathes, mills, grinders and other machinery Able to program, set-up and operate machine tools, including lathes and mills Proficient in the use of off-line programming software used in developing CNC programs If this sounds like the next opportunity for you, please submit your most recent resume or come to our office to apply and interview at 705 S.
