Operate forklifts and related material-handling equipment (sit-down, stand-up, rough terrain, telehandler as applicable) in shipyard and industrial settings.

Move, load, and unload materials, equipment, and components such as steel plates, pipe, machinery parts, and production supplies.

Support ship repair and construction operations by delivering materials to dry docks, piers, and vessel berthing areas.

Transport materials across busy industrial lots, warehouses, and production floors.

Inspect forklifts daily and report any mechanical issues or unsafe conditions immediately.

Follow all OSHA, shipyard safety, and company-specific safety protocols.

Assist with general labor tasks as needed, including staging materials, cleaning work areas, and supporting logistics teams.

Maintain accurate inventory, documentation, and material movement logs.

Work collaboratively with supervisors, crane operators, riggers, and trades teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.

1+ year of forklift experience in a shipyard, industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment (preferred but not required if certified).

Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification prior to start.

Experience handling heavy, oversized, or irregular loads is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of basic rigging and safe material movement practices (plus).

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in active industrial zones.

Strong safety record and understanding of industrial safety procedures.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Reliable transportation and ability to pass background and drug screening (if applicable).
