As the nation’s largest military shipbuilder, HII knows how integrate millions of parts, pieces and service from across the globe to complete a larger mission. The selected candidate will work with a team of fellow employees and Subcontractors in Logistics Support warehousing by providing kitting and packing of a wide variety of material in support of the Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Group. The selected candidate will be using a Warehouse Management System to schedule, pick and pack military specific material and assigning it to a specific build. What you will do: - Packaging material for the Expeditionary Sailor ensuring that they have what they need to support their mission. - Ensure material is properly packed and stowed, ready to ship. - Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. - Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. - Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. - Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product. What you must have: - High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience in military logistics. - Must have experience in using Warehouse Management Systems. - Must have a strong working knowledge of Federal Supply System. - Must be a U.S. Citizen. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Position of Public Trust Security clearance. Bonus Points for: Prior Military Logistics Experience preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to work in a shipboard environment.
