Technical Manual and Training Specialist Purpose: Valkyrie Enterprises is actively seeking a Technical Manual and Training Specialist in Port Hueneme, CA in support of the Navy SPQ-9B Radar In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). Job Description: Review and maintain Technical Manuals (TMs) and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and assists in the development of IETMs – either conversion from existing published hard copy manuals or for new development systems. Develop training requirements and Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs) Perform technical manual, maintenance, and logistics planning. Develop requirements and curricula for system training, developing learning objectives, and implementing those objectives into classroom/computer training plans and programs. Assist with the development of technical documentation and maintenance/troubleshooting procedures. Ensure compliance with technical manual specifications and technical manual life cycle management plans and maintain hard copy technical manuals as required. Participate in maintenance planning and analysis. Provide logistics support analysis. Document discrepancies and recommend corrections. Qualifications: Must have High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have practical experience with XML and HTML coding and proficient with Adobe Illustrator and IETM development tools, specifically PTC Arbortext. Must have experience with Technical Manuals and Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals for Navy systems. Must have experience using Technical Data Management Information System (TDMIS) and knowledge of Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) process. Must have experience developing Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs). Must have experience establishing technical training through Naval Education and Training Command (NETC). Must have experience auditing Navy technical training to determine if the curriculum and course of instruction are adequate for shipboard systems. Must have experience in multiple elements of logistics and establishing and maintaining logistics products for an In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). Must be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products. Desired Qualifications: Familiar with US Navy planning process (SHIPMAIN) and Navy Data Environment (NDE). Experience in multiple elements of logistics and establishing and maintaining logistics products for an In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). Experience with Integrated Product Support (IPS) and/or Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) support elements and products. Security Requirements: Must have an Active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance. Travel Requirements: Occasional travel-up to 20% If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (no later than position start date) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Communicating with others to exchange information. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
