Program Manager III - CBRND

Position Title: Program Manager III - CBRND Work Location: Chesapeake, VA FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt REQ#23_030112 Summary of duties – Manage, direct, and oversee execution of multiple projects within contract requirements to assure that cost, schedules and performance goals are met. Provide interface, communication and coordination with internal and external customers on matters pertaining to project activities including but not limited to duties listed below. Specific description of duties – Provide comprehensive program management support to the Program Managers for the CBRND program offices. Provide program management support consisting of analysis, research, draft documentation, and comment for support for acquisition and in-service programs/initiatives. Research, draft documents and provide recommendations for the Government in their oversight responsibilities for engineering and technical issues. Responsibilities for equipment include all components associated with equipment including, special tools, test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Qualified candidate will prepare draft correspondence (memorandums, letters and naval messages), prepare presentations and briefings (slide presentations), prepare program and technical point papers, develop program management plans, and provide general records filing. Education/Specialized Training High School diploma or GED mandatory Master’s degree and four years, or Bachelor’s degree and eight years, or Associates degree and twelve years, or twenty years related experience. Degree should be in Engineering, Management, or a related field. Ten years’ experience in managing federal Cost Reimbursable, Fixed Price and / or Time & Material contracts. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in management of AIT engineering projects. Experience must be within the last 15 years. Experience in DoD material acquisition procedures. In depth knowledge of CBRND Survivability / Force Protection, Damage Control Firefighting, Collective Protective Systems and Shipboard equipment / Systems. Thorough understanding of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense Systems, structure, and protocols. Security Clearance - Citizenship requirement Clearance up to secret level may be required. U.S. Citizenship required.
