Job Description: As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth within the marine valve pipe and fitting industry. You will work closely with shipyards, shipbuilders, marine contractors, and other industry stakeholders to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions that meet their requirements. Your primary focus will be on prospecting, presenting product offerings, negotiating contracts, and maintaining long-term customer partnerships. Responsibilities: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Norfolk market, targeting shipyards, shipbuilders, marine contractors, and related industry segments. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through regular visits, calls, emails, and presentations. Present and demonstrate our comprehensive range of marine valve pipe and fitting solutions to customers, highlighting their benefits and value proposition. Collaborate with the internal sales team to develop and execute sales strategies, pricing models, and promotional activities. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to management. Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to provide technical support and assistance to customers when needed. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and expand the company's network. Stay updated on product knowledge, industry standards, and regulations related to the marine valve pipe and fitting industry. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably in the marine valve pipe and fitting industry or a related field. Strong understanding of the marine industry, including shipyards, shipbuilding processes, and marine construction. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations. Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills. Willingness to travel throughout territory which includes up to Maine and down to Georgia. We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary, commission, and benefits.
