Laboratory Technical Manager

TECHNICAL MANAGER Inorganics METALS Environmental Chemist needed for Portsmouth, VA area 24 hours (minimum) of college semester hours in chemistry with BS degree in chemical, environmental, biological sciences. Certified transcript. REQUIRED 2 years experience with an ICP/OES. Experience must be in a commercial laboratory. College laboratory does not qualify. Position is working with Laboratory Analysis and Quality Assurance within an established environmental laboratory (non-medical) network of 3 laboratories. Duties will include sample receipt, analysis, reporting, management of laboratory staff, QA/QC duties (including but not limited to document control, corrective action, audit response and SOP review) . Will also work with personnel in laboratories on both East and West Coast. Experience with a LIMS system, sample receipt and analysis. Familiarity with AIHA and or ELAP audit requirements a plus.
