LIGHT FABRICATION TIG ALUMINUM WELDER: Candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience in aluminum tig welding in a fabrication environment. Must be able to pass a weld test, interpret drawings and blueprints and have knowledge of weld symbols. Must be able to work any shift.
Candidates should possess demonstrable skill and experience with the following:
• TIG, Flux Core, and Stick Aluminum, Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel.
• Must understand heat requirements, amperages, voltages, pre-heats, inter-pass temperatures and post head requirements.
• Able to layout, burn, and prepare plate for installation.
• Familiar with filler wire controls, filler wire selection and acceptable weld preparation techniques.
• Have working knowledge of weld procedural requirements, special requirements and safety requirements for the accomplishment of tasks.
• Able to perform grinding and joint preparation for NDE and inspection process and be proficient in carbon arc gouging.
