- Lead activities and reporting to support ISO 9001 certification and adhere to DOD requirements for fabrication and machining processes.
- Develop and oversee quality control tests to ensure compliance with ISO, DOD, and customer standards, inspecting at various production stages.
- Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor compliance to ensure high-quality inputs.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations specific to the defense industry and ISO standards.
- Supervise and provide guidance to inspectors, technicians, and other staff members.
- Oversee product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
- Maintain documentation and perform statistical analysis to meet ISO and DOD reporting requirements.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure product requirements are met, aiming for continuous improvement.
- Candidates shall demonstrate ten (10) or more years of shipboard trade experience. An additional three (3) or more years of ship maintenance QA experience is required.
- A Quality Assurance Level III certification is required to support all welding and NDT inspections, personnel training, testing and certification.
Educational Requirements: High School diploma or higher
Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for access to military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
