Job Description: This is a supervisory position. Applicant must have supervisory experience and must display technical knowledge in all aspects of US Navy material handling, procurement, receipt, inventory control, and material issue. CVN experience is desired. Applicant must have a stock control background. Applicant must have the following:
- Knowledge of all aspects of Naval Supply System, Defense Logistics Agency, and Fleet Logistics Center operating procedures.
- Ensure expeditious handling of high priority material requirements.
- Monitor receipts due, receive, stow, and issue material against job control numbers.
- Process adjustments on inventories.
- Display knowledge and understanding of NAVSUP regulations, polices, procedures and instructions.
- Shall be fluent in the use of all MS products.
- Forklift experience is desired.
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience providing technical services for
material resource management associated with Ship’s Force Work Package (SFWP) for aircraft carrier availabilities.
- Prepare DD1149’s and DD1348’s for material stored or staged in the SFWP/HAB/EQOL facility. This will include material classified as excess being transferred to a Ready Resource Material site or to DRMO as part of the final
disposition process.
-Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in shipping or
custody transfers for naval ship materials stored or staged in a government
facility.
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in developing, implementing,
administering, and evaluating material management requirements for CVN
readiness.
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience developing solutions and planning
for material management needs during CVN availabilities based on
mission priorities and budget constraints of the command.
Additional responsibilities: Include maintenance or modernization availability planning, on-site training for ship's force personnel in the areas of identification of material requirements for documented work items, and administration of material acquisitioning processes required to support the aircraft carrier fleet.
Job Requirements/skill sets: Working knowledge with government credit card purchase (GCPC) procedures, ONE TOUCH, FEDMALL, FEDLOG, HAYSTACK, eRetrograde Management System (eRMS), WEDVLIPS, PEDREP, SUADAPS, DAAS, DAMES & CFMS.
Education Requirements: Preferred Prior Navy AK, SK, or LS. BA in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration is desired.
Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. An active DOD confidential or secret clearance is required.
