Are you a former Navy Electrician or Technician ready to bring your hands-on experience into a high-impact civilian role? Noblis MSD is looking for a CVN Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our mission-focused team supporting Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic (CNAL) and the CEMAT Auxiliaries Project Team. You'll work directly aboard East Coast-based CVN Aircraft Carriers, helping to modernize and maintain critical electrical systems—while mentoring active-duty Sailors and ensuring mission readiness.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as a technical expert for shipboard electrical systems (60Hz, 400Hz) across CVN-class aircraft carriers.
- Deliver on-the-job training (OJT) and over-the-shoulder coaching to ship's force Sailors—building their technical proficiency and self-sufficiency.
- Provide engineering guidance, maintenance support, and troubleshooting expertise for CNAL's CVN electrical systems.
- Collaborate with Fleet Maintenance, Systems Engineering, and QA/QC teams to support critical readiness and sustainment efforts.
- Interpret and apply electrical schematics, blueprints, NAVSEA standards, and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree + 3 years or a High School diploma + 6 years’ experience.

Prior U.S. Navy service with direct experience aboard CVN aircraft carriers or surface ships.

Proficient with 60Hz/400Hz electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting practices.

Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and NAVSEA documentation.

Minimum 5 years' experience supporting Navy or DoD technical projects.

Active SECRET clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in shipboard environments.
Desired Qualifications:

NEC certifications in electrical systems/equipment highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Familiarity with NAVSEA Standard Items, JFMM, and maintenance planning systems.
