Summary of duties – The Warehouse Supervisor manages the physical inventory of all material and Government Furnished Material. This will include the processing of the material through the purchasing program and the staging and stocking of material for the proper task utilizing the approved applicable forms. Duties will include the up-keep of the warehouse in an orderly fashion and the issuing of material to the proper personnel. Manage the shipment of material inbound and outbound. Control all paperwork related to material received, issued, damaged and controlled. Periodically required to lift/move equipment up to and including 50 pounds.

Specific description of duties:

  • Manage a team of warehouse personnel.
  • Directs and coordinates the distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the issuing and receiving of material to through delivery to customer.
  • Ensures the warehouse is in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Receives shipments of materials and compares the items against purchase orders to detect errors or omissions.
  • Maintains appropriate records of incoming and outgoing items for accounting internal controls.
  • Assigns property control numbers (tags) for equipment/materials purchased.
  • Performs physical inventory, research of inventory and reports any errors to Property Manager.
  • Takes corrective action with quality control personnel, customers, and vendors on defective or unacceptable goods or services.
  • Process and coordinate deliveries of material to all sites in a reasonable and timely manner.
  • Arranges and packages material for shipment.
  • Applies understanding of the procurement process, responsibilities and ethical standards necessary for US Government, commercial and international material and services procurements. Follows FAR/DFAR guidelines and Prism Maritime LLC guidelines to process material.
  • Overtime is routinely required but not guaranteed
  • Travel outside the local area may be required
  • Possession of an active State Drivers License is required
  • Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization’s mission, objectives and goals.

Education / Specialized training

  • HS diploma or GED is required
  • Minimum 8 years warehouse and/or supervisory experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, effective negotiation skills.
  • Microsoft 365 with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Planner, Teams
  • Knowledge of Costpoint or other ERP management systems
  • Knowledge and skills regarding inventory processing and control.
  • Experience in maintaining stock.
  • Experience in Government Furnished Material and material control.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Possess forklift certification.
  • Experience in physical material inventory and maintain inventory records.
  • Experience in FAR/DFAR and Prism Maritime LLC guidelines related to material control.

Security Clearance –

  • Clearance up to secret level may be required.
  • US Citizenship required.

Physical/Environmental Job Requirements –

Physical requirements may include the following:

  • Lifting/moving up to and including 50 pounds
  • Routinely climbing several flights of stairs
  • Performing tasks in confined spaces

Our work may require variables of physical activity, i.e. stooping, climbing, walking, etc. 

In performing these duties, you may be required to work outdoors.  You will experience temperature variations, extremely loud noises and other physical hazards.
