Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Industrial Operator to join our powder coating and welding shop. This role supports daily production operations, including material handling, surface preparation, powder coating processes, and general shop assistance. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and assist with powder coating equipment and related machinery
- Prepare parts for powder coating (cleaning, masking, hanging, and inspection)
- Assist welders and fabrication staff as needed
- Load, unload, and move materials and finished products
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards
- Log QA documents / production details
- Read and follow procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a powder coating, welding, or industrial shop preferred (but not required)
- Ability to read work orders and follow instructions
- Comfortable using hand tools and shop equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] and stand for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Willingness to learn and take direction
