Job Description: Inspect, maintenance and repair equipment suitable for ultra high water blasting at a variety of jobsites and shop locations and on all classes of naval and commercial vessels, components and objects. Performs pre-operational checks of equipment. Operates and conducts maintenance and water blasting equipment required to accomplish the job task. Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and malfunctions and/or report inoperable equipment. Must also be callable of maintenance and repairing of various power and hand tools, hydraulic equipment, paint spray equipment and large vacuum systems. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Must have at least three years of previous experience on diesel engines or similar engines and equipment related to the coating/preservation industry. Vision Requirements: The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operating machines where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach or performing mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as ones by electricians, technicians, service people, painters, mechanics, etc. Must be able to climb vertical shipboard ladders, pass respirator physical and fit test, and wear required personal protective equipment. Must be willing to travel and work away from the home office for periods of time. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work aboard vessels, climb ladders, and work in tanks and confined spaces. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment- including a respirator. We are an EEO/AA Employer!
