RapidGate by Troy Woodbury, Regional Account Manager, EID Passport

The RAPIDGate® Program from Eid Passport® offers a more streamlined solution for vendors, suppliers and service providers who require authorized access to high-security facilities. Streamlined access for them saves time, and ultimately, it also saves money for your company. How?

Whenever our military personnel, family members, civilian workers and visitors enter Department of Defense facilities, safeguarding security is the highest priority.  In response to Department of Defense requirements, military installations are required to implement access control solutions that include sponsorship processes, ongoing background screenings, electronic verification and biometrics. The RAPIDGate Program supports those requirements while streamlining access for your employees, improving the ability of access control personnel and maintaining higher levels of security and efficiency.

The program provides a high-assurance identity management solution that incorporates a secured information system for verifying identities based on biographic and biometric information provided by your employees. It allows organizations to spend less time and resources screening third-party personnel who have already been vetted, and offers an easy, end-to-end process for companies, taking care of all the details required to get access.

The RAPIDGate Program has managed over 550,000 new registration background checks life-to-date as of March 2015.  With over a decade of expertise in standardizing the identity verification process, the program goes the extra mile to ensure risk mitigation, providing continuous background screens on individuals every 92 days through its Watchdog search. RAPIDGate’s thorough screening process has resulted in a disqualification of over 40,000 applicants and an additional fallout of over 5,000 participants from the RAPIDGate Program.

In addition to the increased support to security and confidence, Personal Identity Verification Interoperability (PIV-I) credentials integrates logical access support with physical access support. This Level 4 Assurance Credential allows the credential to be multifunctional in various forms of identity proofing and access control in multi-forms of business operations.

In addition to the scrutinizing verification service that the program provides, RAPIDGate also assists with tenant sponsor communications, adjudication and waiver processes, and offers unparalleled customer support. Eid Passport maintains a trained and dedicated field staff of 465 local technicians, Regional Program Managers (RPMs), Regional Account Managers (RAMs) and PIV-I issuers.  They provide support to the vendor companies that enroll and to their employees who register for the RAPIDGate Program. RAPIDGate is there to ensure business continues as usual, mitigating security roadblocks.

As an added benefit, the multi-facility access feature allows the organization to manage an employee’s credential across the enterprise, saving more time and reducing risk in the event there’s an urgency to renew, or if there is a need to terminate access. RAPIDGate allows companies to take back the time lost waiting in lines at the gate, or being delayed through the Pass and ID office.

With assurance that the identity and information of employee representatives have been confirmed, validated and approved, RAPIDGate upholds the reputation of a company and its employees. Because of these heightened security procedures and a continuous vetting process, RAPIDGate brings peace of mind to a company.
