VSRA Human Resources Professional Development Seminar - A GREAT SUCCESS!

This year's VSRA Human Resources Professional Development Seminar was a great success!  There were over "80" in attendance representing over "44" VSRA member companies for this half-day seminar sponsored by the VSRA Human Resources Committee. The event was held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center, ODU.   

Presenters and topics included:  "Adjusting to the Shifting HR Landscape After the First Year of the Trump Administration by Chris Abel and Cher Wynkoop, Willcox & Savage; "Overcoming Generational Issues in the Ship Repair Industry" by John Martin, Southeastern Institute of Research; "Investigating Sexual Harassment Complaints" by John DiDio, Professional Personnel Service; and "Base Access Issues Under the New DBIDS Scheme" by BMC John Johnson, USN (Ret.), MARMC Industrial Security Manager and Gina Dara, MARMC, System Administrator, Regional.

This seminar session has been approved for 3 HR (General) recertification credit hours toward a PHR™, PHR®, PHRca®, SPHR®, GPHR®, PHRi™ and SPHRi™ recertification through HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®); and SHRM to offer SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® professional development credits (PDCs). This program is valid for 3 PDCs.
