POSTPONED: 14th Annual VSRF Tradesperson of the Year Awards

In order to provide time for prioritized efforts during the COVID-19 situation, our Leadership has decided to delay the awarding of the Tradesperson of the Year honors until the late summer. While we do not have an exact timeline established yet, we will provide that information as soon as it is available. The Nominations deadline will be delayed to a later date. Nominations that have been submitted already will be retained, or may be re-submitted if desired.

It is indeed highest honors to announce the Tradesperson of the Year nominees and winners each year. We are looking forward to doing so once again this year, once this health crisis is behind us and we see a return to normalcy. During these difficult times, we ask you to keep your eyes open for excellence among your workforce, and consider nominating those who go above-and-beyond for this prestigious award.

We value the vital role our tradespeople play in ensuring the strength of our Naval  defense. Help us recognize the best in their field!

Every year, the Virginia Ship Repair Foundation is proud to honor a Senior and Junior Tradesperson of the Year for their hard work and contributions to our industry. With the ongoing health crisis created by COVID-19, Ship Repairers are bravely serving as mission critical, essential workers, and are continuing to go to work and put in their full efforts to ensure our Navy and commercial fleets are operating at maximum readiness.

Now, more than ever, it is important to recognize excellence in our workforce. Your Association and Foundation are dedicated to doing just that.

Should you have any questions, please contact me or Sylvia Bell (SBell@VirginiaShipRepair.org).

Thank you for your continued dedication and support of this Association and our industry.
