BIOGRAPHY - Senator FRANK W. WAGNER
Virginia Senator Frank W. Wagner currently represents the 7th Senatorial District in Virginia Beach. He won re-election in 2003, 2007 and 2011, after his initial special election in 2000, and more than ten years serving in the Virginia House of Delegates as a representative for the 21st District.
As a delegate, Wagner served on many committees, including Conservation and Natural Resources, Corporations, and Insurance. He currently serves on the Governor’s Economic Development and Jobs Creation Commission, Senate Rehabilitation and Social Services (Chairman), Commerce and Labor, among others.
Wagner’s Virginia Energy Plan passed in the 2006 Virginia General Assembly session. The Plan directs the Commonwealth to create a comprehensive plan for the development of energy resources, and to achieve energy independence in a responsible manner.
