Warehouse Property Manager

Position Title: Warehouse Property Manager

Summary of duties – Responsible to lead a team of Warehouse Specialists and Material Handlers to receive and record new stock as it comes in and to deliver stock, prepare shipment onto trucks or shelves/locations as needed. The Property Manager has direct responsibility for executing receiving, stocking and shipping activities for such commodities as hardware items, electrical parts, electronic components, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, chemicals, and services. Requires a background in supply chain management, purchasing, and/or logistics in accordance with DCMA/DCAA regulations. Must have expertise in improving and executing property management processes for continental US and international requirements. This includes experience in requirement forecasting, planning, purchasing, shipping and delivery, field distribution, and customer service.

Specific description of duties:

  • Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in receiving materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Responsible for managing inventory documentation.
  • Manages the material receipt process and complies with all public law requirements as well as corporate policies and procedures, import/export regulations, and employs sound business practices.
  • Follows FAR/DFARS guidelines to process material receipt and Government Property.
  • Accurately record the quality, quantity, type, style, and any other characteristics of the material received.
  • Negotiates and/or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Coordinates with logistics department to ensure receipt of proper supplies.
  • Takes corrective action with quality control personnel, customers, and vendors on defective or unacceptable goods or services.
  • Reviews receipt, QC Inspection, and Issue documentation for completeness and correctness.
  • Applies understanding of the property process, responsibilities and ethical standards necessary for US Government, commercial and international material and services procurements.
  • Works with internal customers to ensure specifications and statements of work for materials and services are appropriate for the tasks or products required.
  • Perform bi-weekly inventories of all products per the inventory sheets
  • Report any suspicious shortages/activity to management
  • Maintain proper inventory control procedures
  • Receive and organize all product deliveries and notify management of any issues
  • Ensures clean storage areas and store product according with Prism Maritime Procedures
  • Work with management to identify areas of improvement in storage and receiving practices
  • Overtime may be required but not guaranteed
  • Occasional travel outside the local area may be required
  • Possession of an active State Driver’s License is required
  • Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization’s mission, objectives and goals.
  • Must have DCMA Audit experience and be able to demonstrate knowledge.

Education / Specialized training

  • High School diploma or GED mandatory
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 10 years related Government contracting/property experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, effective negotiation skills.
  • Basic understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations, contract law, price and cost analysis techniques required.

Security Clearance

  • Clearance up to secret level may be required.
  • US Citizenship required.

Physical requirements for the job may include the following:

  • Lifting/moving up to and including 25 pounds
